What does membership of the Genuine Lamps Alliance mean?
Members of the Genuine Lamps Alliance have made a binding commitment not to trade in any projector lamp modules other than those containing genuine lamps. These are genuine lamp modules supplied with the endorsement of the lamp manufacturers owning the intellectual property rights governing the technology.
The Alliance has the right to suspend or revoke membership should any member be found to sell any non-genuine lamps. The Alliance offers members support with identifying the source of suspect lamps and carries out regular ‘mystery shopper’ exercises on its members to police compliance with membership criteria.
